McCain’s VP Choice Already Under Investigation For Power Abuse

August 29, 2008 – 12:49 pm

Sarah Palin, who’s full political experience includes 2 years of being Alaska’s Governor, was announced as McCain’s runningmate today. And of course, she’s currently under investigation for abuse of power allegations surfaced.

The scandal began on July 11, when Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan was fired from his post with little explanation, a move that quickly raised questions in Alaska. (more on this)

This has become a liability, because the same articles that announced the VP choice also underlined Palin’s criminal activity.

Sarah Palin is also supremely unqualified. She has a degree in Journalism. She minored in politics. The extent of her political career is a two year stint as governor. McCain being a man who is 72 years old and has had four bouts with cancer, to have chosen someone so completely unfit to be president is shockingly irresponsible. Suddenly, McCain’s age and health become central issues in the campaign, as does his judgment.

If this all isn’t enough of a problem, her husband, Todd, works for the the BP Energy corporation at an oil field in Alaska. His finances are directly influenced by the political decisions the McCain administration makes. McCain’s announcement for VP has seemed to backfire, sparking more laugh than applaud for McCain’s choice.
